Caurie MF participated in the second stage of the Microfinance for Ecosystem-based Adaptation (MEBA) project. This project is part of the United Nations Environment Program’s climate change sub-program, promoting a paradigm shift towards the sustainable development of low-carbon and climate-resilient economies.

The aim is to disseminate across Caurie agencies the achievements of the MEBA project and the development of new products and procedures for financing ecosystem-based solutions for climate change adaptation, in accordance with local climate realities.

YAPU has been selected as a supplier to offer its expertise and support to Caurie and to ensure the continuity and implementation of the achievements of the pilot project in which its system was used. YAPU’s responsibilities will include training the trainers, supporting the teams in data collection, quality control and digitization of the reference maps and the ecological products developed, as well as the development of APIs.

The institutional analysis has already been carried out, as well as the field visit by YAPU. Staff training is up and running and YAPU is currently undertaking data collection on the Reference Data Cards.
