Pro Mujer Bolivia, as part of the Pro Mujer microfinance network, has been serving low-income, self-employed women all over the country for more than 30 years. Pro Mujer mainly offers community lending products, supporting and empowering women<\/strong> with small loans, while providing health and education services.<\/p>\n

Pro Mujer is present throughout Bolivia, reaching more than 120,000 clients. The strategy is to reach 1 million by 2025 thanks to digitalization. <\/strong>Pro Mujer measures clients’ Poverty Probability Index annually, finding that 14% of their clients live on less than $2.0\/day.<\/p>\n

Protecting the environment is a key objective for Pro Mujer, defining specifically 3 strategic guidelines in the CSR Policy<\/strong>: (1) Energy efficiency and savings; (2) Efficient use of water and paper; (3) Purchases and services with an ecological approach. Following these guidelines, Pro Mujer is currently offering individual loans to finance the purchase of electric vehicles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Huruma: Transforming Lives<\/em><\/h2>\n

Huruma\u2019s investment in Pro Mujer aims to transform the lives of smallholder farmers through the following theory of change:<\/p>\n

Input: EUR 4,2 MM<\/strong> focused on agricultural financing.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

\n

Output:<\/strong> Increase its agri-portfolio by at least 1.0x Huruma\u2019s investment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Outcome:<\/strong>Increase >3,600 farmers\u2019 crop yields<\/strong> and >3,000 families\u2019 rural income*<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
